Grupo Argos continues to promote the development and growth of the department of Atlántico with investments that exceed COP 36 billion in road infrastructure and public space works
8 November 2022- In the last six years, Grupo Argos, through its Urban Development Business, has made investments amounting to COP 36 billion in road infrastructure and public space projects that seek to promote the competitiveness of the Atlantic department and improve the quality of life of their habitants.
- The Urban Development Business has planned, designed and executed emblematic urban projects in the Barranquilla metropolitan area, such as the new Carrera 65A that connects with the north of the city.
- The company is also advancing in the department the construction of Ciudad Mallorquín, one of the most important housing megaprojects in the country that is located in Puerto Colombia and to date projects an investment of more than COP 98 billion in urban planning and road infrastructure works.
With more than seven works carried out in the last four years, Grupo Argos reaffirms its commitment to promoting progress and growth in the department of Atlántico. The company, through its Urban Development Business, has made investments for more than COP 36 billion in urban projects in Barranquilla and its metropolitan area.
Among the most relevant projects are the construction of the new Carrera 65A, the expansion of Calle 98 and Carrera 71 in the city of Barranquilla and the extension of Calle 2A in the municipality of Puerto Colombia. Strategic works for the mobility of the north of the city and its connection with the metropolitan area. Regarding public space, the company has delivered more than 4.5 hectares in new parks that had an investment of more than COP 8 billion.

In Puerto Colombia municipality, the building of Ciudad Mallorquín is also underway, a residential project of more than 50 hectares that promotes inclusive and sustainable development and which to date projects an investment of more than COP 98 billion in urban planning and infrastructure works. road and the generation of 2,000 jobs.
Recently, Grupo Argos announced the construction of two new parks in Barranquilla that represent more than 15,000 m2 of public space, projecting an investment of more than COP 2,5 billion for the city.
These two projects add to what the company has done in the last decade to contribute to the positive transformation and promote the development of the department of Atlántico, integrating new spaces for recreation and culture through projects that respect and promote the conservation of the environment. .
