Companies of the Argos Business Group and 30 partner companies will execute 10 new projects worth more than COP 175 billion through the Works for Taxes mechanism

• Nine projects will be carried out in Antioquia and one in Risaralda, in municipalities and territories prioritized under the Works for Taxes mechanism.
• Six of the initiatives will focus on the construction, renovation, maintenance, and equipping of Early Childhood Development Centers.
• The projects are part of the Argos Business Group’s commitment to bringing together public- and private-sector capabilities to accelerate projects that positively transform people’s lives.
• Since 2019, Grupo Argos, Cementos Argos, Celsia, Odinsa, and their partners have mobilized more than COP 787 billion across 50 road, education, and basic sanitation infrastructure projects, benefiting more than 600,000 people.

The Argos Business Group and a group of 30 partner companies received approval to execute 10 new projects under the Works for Taxes mechanism, representing an investment of more than COP 175 billion for the 2025 tax year. The initiatives will focus on strengthening social, educational, and road infrastructure in prioritized territories in Antioquia and Risaralda.

Of the approved projects, nine will be carried out in Antioquia and one in Risaralda. The approval includes interventions in municipalities such as San Luis, Alejandría, Sonsón, Concepción, Chigorodó, Amalfi, San Carlos, and San Rafael in Antioquia, as well as Mistrató in Risaralda. These projects seek to improve early childhood care conditions, strengthen school facilities and equipment, and advance the rehabilitation of strategic road corridors that enhance regional connectivity.

Among the approved initiatives are the construction, renovation, improvement, and equipping of six Early Childhood Development Centers in Antioquia, reflecting a commitment to expanding and improving infrastructure for the comprehensive care of children in municipalities with significant social investment needs. In addition, a school equipment project is planned for the Northern and Northeastern regions of Antioquia.

In terms of road infrastructure, the approval includes three projects: (i) rehabilitation of the Narices–Juanes–El Jordán–La Holanda road in San Carlos; (ii) improvement of the San Roque–San Lorenzo–La Palma road in San Rafael; and (iii) improvement and rehabilitation of the road connecting Mistrató with Belén de Umbría in Risaralda.

This approval builds on the Argos Business Group’s track record under the Works for Taxes mechanism. Since 2019, the Group’s companies and their partners have mobilized more than COP 787 billion across 50 projects nationwide. Of this amount, COP 461 billion has been invested in road infrastructure projects, more than COP 138 billion in educational infrastructure and equipment, and COP 127 billion in drinking water and basic sanitation projects, among others.
