Nearly 3,400 volunteers from Grupo Empresarial Argos have participated in 88 volunteer events across 14 departments in Colombia and 4 countries in the Americas in 2024
5 December 2024- The activities have focused on knowledge transfer, improving housing and education infrastructure, conservation efforts, water and animal welfare actions, and supporting community priorities.
- This year, Grupo Argos Foundation also carried out three large-scale volunteer events in the township of Nueva Colonia in Urabá, Antioquia; Cali; and the municipality of San José de Urama in Dabeiba, Antioquia, mobilizing over 1,000 volunteers and benefiting 5,500 community members.
- Over the past three years, Grupo Argos Foundation corporate volunteering program has mobilized more than 8,100 employees from Grupo Argos, Cementos Argos, Celsia, Odinsa, and Summa in high-impact social and environmental initiatives, benefiting 41,304 people.
In total, during 2024, employees of Grupo Empresarial Argos have dedicated over 58,000 hours to volunteer activities focused on improving housing and education infrastructure, animal welfare actions, planting mangroves and native tree species, supporting entrepreneurs and social collectives, among others. These efforts have benefited over 41,000 people across 14 departments in Colombia and 4 countries in the Americas.

Similarly, Grupo Argos Foundation carried out three large-scale volunteer events in San José de Urama in Dabeiba, Nueva Colonia in the Urabá region of Antioquia, and Cali, Valle del Cauca, with the aim of contributing to the transformation of these territories through the improvement of their community infrastructure.
To encourage the participation of employees from Grupo Argos, Cementos Argos, Celsia, Odinsa, and Summa, Grupo Argos Foundation has established a Volunteering Committee. This committee brings together leaders from each company to propose high-impact initiatives that, in addition to generating social well-being, promote the development of employees and respond to their specific needs and interests.
