With the presence of the Minister of Housing, Jonathan Malagón, this Friday the symbolic act of first stone was held and marked the beginning of the construction of the Ciudad Mallorquín project, an initiative of the Grupo Argos Urban Development Business that promotes a new inclusive and sustainable development in one of the main areas of the municipality of Puerto Colombia.
Grupo Argos will invest COP 64,000 million in the urbanization of this project, which in total could represent joint investments for COP 800,000 million, a relevant boost to the economic reactivation in the region. Additionally, it is estimated that the project will generate more than two thousand jobs per year in its first stage of construction and that it will contribute COP 6,000 million each year in property, income that will continue to contribute to improving the well-being of thousands of Atlántico residents.
Ciudad Mallorquín was born from the conviction that it is possible to develop inclusive housing projects in harmony with nature. This new residential community will have 4.5 hectares of parks and green areas, consolidating the largest urban park in the area. The project will also be complemented with four kilometers of cycle routes and 11,000 m2 of platforms and new routes for the use of bicycles and other sustainable ways of transport.

Five of the most important construction companies in the country will participate in this initiative, with extensive experience in this type of project and extensive knowledge in the urban development of communities. These are: Constructora Bolívar, Marval, Constructora Conaco, Amarilo and Constructora Colpatria, who for the first time would be investing in the municipality of Puerto Colombia.
