Alejandro Piedrahita
Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Finance Grupo Argos S.A.
Alejandro Piedrahita was born on March 2, 1973, in Medellín, Colombia. He graduated as a business administrator from EAFIT University. He subsequently completed a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Development Policy at the London School of Economics and holds a Program in Senior Business Management (PADE) from the University of La Sabana. In addition, he participated in the general management program of the Harvard Business School.
He has over 20 years of experience in structuring and executing projects in investment banking such as capital markets, corporate finance, financing, mergers, acquisitions and derivatives.
Since June 2015, he holds the position as Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Finance at Grupo Argos. Prior to this position, he served as Capital Markets Structuring Vice President at Banca de Inversión Bancolombia SA since 2008, Before he held the position of Derivatives Structuring Manager in Bancolombia S.A. and also worked as Director of Economic Research at Corfinsura S.A. and as Director of Special Projects at Susalud S.A.
He is currently a senior member of the board of directors of: Cementos Argos, Celsia, Odinsa, investment committee of Pactia y Aceros MAPA S.A., Corporación Surgir, Iluma (Premex S.A.S) and the Superior Council of the EIA University.
He has been a professor of undergraduate and graduate degrees in several universities such as: EAFIT, EIA, National University, Javeriana University and University of Medellín.
