  • The strategy seeks to strengthen women’s business ideas by accompanying them for eight months with training in entrepreneurial skills, strategic mentoring, technical advice and giving them the possibility of accessing financing opportunities for their businesses.
  • This initiative also seeks to create and make visible an entrepreneurial ecosystem with a gender focus in the region, facilitating the exchange of knowledge between women entrepreneurs.
  • The registration deadline to be part of this group of benefited enterprises is next Sunday, March 21st.

This program born as a commitment of Grupo Argos, Proantioquia, Impact Hub Medellín, Bancolombia and Fundación Siemens with the aim of reducing the economic inequality gap, to face the unemployment situation in this population group, the gender gap in the survival of ventures and to contribute to female labor development in Medellín and Valle de Aburrá.

The entrepreneurs will also enjoy access to first-rate technology, advice to solve strategic challenges in their projects and a set of benefits such as discounts on the use of digital platforms to boost their business.

“We are proud to join this initiative that is part of our Creamos Valor Social program and that come up in response to the difficult situation of unemployment among the female population in the Aburrá Valley. We see in the leadership of women a source of social well-being and in MSMEs a relevant actor for the generation of employment and revitalization of the economy ”.

The platform will accompany 100 enterprises led by women in three cohorts and will promote the access of 30 of them to financing sources that allow them to access the necessary liquidity to accelerate their growth.

“We see in Emprender Mujer an opportunity to promote female leadership on a large scale with a sustainable approach as a source to build more diverse companies and with the ability to conquer new markets. It is important to highlight that this initiative prioritizes those companies that, from the moment of their incubation, have as part of their strategy the contribution to the achievement of the sustainable development objectives ”.
