Grupo Argos, Cementos Argos and Celsia recognized by Merco among the companies with the best reputation in Colombia

  •  Grupo Argos entered the ranking that measures the 100 companies with the best reputation in Colombia, highlighting the strategic role of the company in the growth and positioning of its businesses as regional infrastructure platforms. 
  • Jorge Mario Velasquez, president of Grupo Argos; Juan Esteban Calle, president of Cementos Argos; and Ricardo Sierra, president of Celsia, stood out at Merco Líderes as some of the most recognized business executives in Colombia.

Grupo Empresarial Argos was recognized as the most reputable business conglomerate in Colombia according to the Corporate Reputation Business Monitor, Merco. This year Grupo Argos entered the ranking of the 100 companies in the 23rd position, Cementos Argos was part of the top 10 for the seventh consecutive year, this time in the 9th position and Celsia climbed 2 positions, reaching 43

Merco Colombia also presented on October 21st, at its annual results ceremony, the list of business leaders with the best reputation in the country. In the report, Jorge Mario Velasquez, president of Grupo Argos, was ranked #6th, Juan Esteban Calle, president of Cementos Argos, was ranked #19th and Ricardo Sierra, president of Celsia was ranked #17th.

This is a benchmark worldwide ranking in reputation measurement and has been available in Colombia since 2008. The rating given to companies corresponds to the sum of five evaluations carried out by different interest groups including financial analysts, economic journalists, professors of management careers, members of government, social media influencers, business employees and consumers, among others, in order to determine which companies they admire the most. Merco Empresas measures management and perception in areas such as innovation, human talent, internationalization, corporate governance, financial results and presence in the digital ecosystem.
