Grupo Argos, together with the Mayor's Office of Puerto Colombia, formalize the start of the work for 2A street extension

  • This Thursday, December 3rd, the opening event of the work of Grupo Empresarial Argos that will extend 2A street in Puerto Colombia was held, through the symbolic act of laying the first stone in the project site.
  •  Wilman Vargas Altahona, Mayor of Puerto Colombia and Camilo Abello, Senior Sustainability Director of Grupo Argos, participated in the work start-up event.
  • Grupo Argos investment in the work will be COP 3,336 million and the construction time is projected to take around 10 months. 

 

This Thursday, December 3rd, Wilman Vargas Altahona, Mayor of Puerto Colombia and Camilo Abello, Senior Director of Sustainability of Grupo Argos, met in the San José School sector in the municipality of Puerto Colombia, to formalize the start of the extension of the Street 2A, through the symbolic act of laying the first stone in place. This work, developed by Grupo Empresarial Argos, will connect Carrera 20 and the extension of Vía 40 or Coastal Concession, improving the sector's connections with its surroundings. Grupo Argos investment in the work will be COP 3,336 million and the construction time is projected to take around 10 months.

The construction of this new road, being located within one of the areas with the greatest potential for urban development in the municipality, is of great importance for citizens and will have a great impact on urban mobility in the metropolitan area of ​​Barranquilla. The new road connection will have wide platforms, LED lighting, a landscape proposal with high standards of urban design and road signs, which will facilitate connectivity and improve the quality of life of the inhabitants of this sector of the municipality of Puerto Colombia.

The project in charge of Grupo Empresarial Argos is part of the road works that make up the San José del Norte Partial Plan project. In total, the extension of 2A street work will have 0.6 kilometers of vehicular lanes, with 8 meters of road and 5-meter platforms.
