Between May 14 and 17, Grupo Argos Foundation led a large-scale volunteer initiative in Antioquia that mobilized 311 employees from Grupo Argos, Cementos Argos, Celsia, Odinsa, and Summa in social and environmental impact activities aimed at positively transforming the lives of more than 7,450 people in Puerto Nare, Bello, Támesis, Jericó, and Rioclaro.
During the event, volunteers planted 476 trees, promoting ecological restoration and environmental conservation in strategic areas, and participated in educational, recreational, and community infrastructure initiatives—reaffirming the commitment of Grupo Argos, its companies, and its employees to the sustainable development of the regions.

“Each year, Conecta Day reminds us that when we act together, we become a transformative force. What we experienced in Antioquia is a reflection of the purpose that unites us: mobilizing the talent, energy, and commitment of our teams to create shared value and leave a positive mark on communities.”
María Camila Villegas
Executive Director of Grupo Argos Foundation
The activities in Antioquia took place simultaneously with interventions in other regions of Colombia and in countries such as Panama, Honduras, the Dominican Republic, and Puerto Rico, as part of Grupo Empresarial Argos’ regional commitment to sustainability, equity, and community building.
With this initiative, corporate volunteering is reaffirmed as a tangible expression of the organization’s higher purpose: to positively transform people’s lives through infrastructure investments and operations.
