  • The event took place in El Tesoro de Mallorquín Park, one of the most iconic public spaces of the urban development project, designed for community gathering and coexistence.

Ciudad Mallorquín continues to establish itself as a laboratory for social innovation and sustainable development in the Caribbean region. This was demonstrated by the third edition of the “Grannyzada de Colores” Entrepreneur Fair, which brought together 135 local entrepreneurs and attracted more than 1,600 visitors to El Tesoro de Mallorquín Park, in a day that combined entrepreneurship, civic culture, and community building.

This fair is part of a comprehensive model of social, cultural, and economic development, designed and validated by Grupo Argos’ Urban Development team in partnership with Ciudadano de Honor by Inpsicon. The initiative has turned Ciudad Mallorquín into a national benchmark for social urbanism. The model aims to foster collective well-being, social cohesion, and harmonious coexistence with the environment through sustainable and collaborative interventions.

The event offered a diverse cultural agenda, including performances by the ARC Naval School, illustration workshops with Barranquilla-based artist Gretta con Ganas, barter spaces, children’s activities, the participation of 350 members of the Ciudad Mallorquín Knitting Club, and a show by renowned champeta dancer Emirín Díaz from Barú Island.

Our commitment to Barranquilla goes beyond urban development. We are dedicated to building resilient communities and driving territorial transformation, activating local economies and generating sustainable social value. This initiative reflects the transformative power of communities when real conditions for well-being, equity, and development are created.”

The fair is the result of collaborative work between community leaders, institutional partners, and the human talent of the Grupo Empresarial Argos companies, who have also contributed to the environmental restoration of the area by planting more than 150,000 mangrove seedlings, establishing community nurseries, and creating 30 water quality monitoring points in the Ciénaga de Mallorquín.
