Grupo Empresarial Argos’ companies rank among the best performers in their industries, according to S&P Global’s Sustainability Yearbook

  • In the latest edition of S&P Global’s Sustainability Yearbook, Grupo Argos, Cementos Argos, Celsia, and Odinsa were included in recognition of their performance in managing environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) matters.
  • Grupo Argos, Cementos Argos, and Celsia were recognized for ranking among the top 5%, top 1%, and top 5% of companies in their respective industries, while Odinsa was recognized as a Yearbook Member in its industry.
  • This marks the twelfth consecutive year in which companies within Grupo Empresarial Argos have received global recognition for their ability to generate economic value in balance with society and the environment.
  • S&P’s Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) is used by the firm to build the Dow Jones Best in Class Index (formerly the Dow Jones Sustainability Index) and to compile S&P Global’s Sustainability Yearbook.
  • To be included in the Yearbook, companies must score within the top 15% of their industry and achieve a CSA score within 30% of the top-performing company in their industry.

For 2024, the CSA assessed more than 7,690 organizations worldwide, of which 780 were included in the latest edition of the Sustainability Yearbook. Among them were Grupo Argos and its businesses—Cementos Argos, Celsia, and Odinsa—which stood out for their results, supported by a strategy focused on creating value for all stakeholders and aligned with global best practices in environmental, social, and corporate governance.

This recognition reaffirms Grupo Empresarial Argos’ commitment to delivering sustainable, comprehensive value to its stakeholders, positioning Grupo Argos among the top 5% of companies in their respective industries, while Cementos Argos ranked in the top 1%, Celsia in the top 5%, and Odinsa was recognized as a Yearbook Member.

S&P Sustainability Yearbook

This publication recognizes global sustainability leaders, promoting best-in-class environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) standards and providing investors, customers, and society at large with an objective benchmark to compare companies across the industries assessed by S&P Global.

To be included in the Yearbook, companies must score within the top 15% of their industry and achieve a Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) score within 30% of the top-performing company in their industry. This year, 7,690 companies assessed in the 2024 CSA were considered for inclusion in the 2025 Sustainability Yearbook. Only 780 companies across 62 industries ranked among the top performers selected for inclusion this year.
