Grupo Argos receives the Sustainable Company Recognition from the Colombian Business Council for Sustainable Development (CECODES)

Grupo Argos was recognized by the Colombian Business Council for Sustainable Development (CECODES) as a Sustainable Company, a distinction that highlights the company’s commitment, leadership, and consistency in embedding sustainability as a cross-cutting pillar of its business strategy.

The recognition was granted under the criterion “Operating at the Highest Level of Transparency,” a category that underscores business practices aimed at strengthening integrity, trust, accountability, and responsible management in relation to all stakeholders.

This recognition adds to the recent inclusion of Grupo Empresarial Argos companies in the Merco ESG Responsibility ranking, reaffirming their position among the most sustainable companies in Colombia for their performance in environmental, social, ethics, and corporate governance matters. Grupo Argos ranked in the top 10 for the sixth consecutive year, reaching 6th place and moving up three positions; Cementos Argos ranked 12th, climbing eight positions; Celsia ranked 37th; and Odinsa placed fourth in the construction and infrastructure sector. More recently, Grupo Argos and its companies were also included in S&P Global’s Sustainability Yearbook, which recognizes the companies with the strongest sustainability performance worldwide.

With this distinction from CECODES, Grupo Argos continues to strengthen a business trajectory in which transparency, ethics, and sustainability have been fundamental pillars for positively transforming people’s lives through its investments and infrastructure operations.
