  • In partnership with Páramo Impacta, the company organizing the event, a cement counterweight solution will be implemented for the stages, replacing the traditional water-based system.
  • Once the festival concludes, the materials used will be donated to support the construction of the Amparo Quin Development Center for children and youth with diverse high-complexity chronic conditions and their families, led by the Jaime Duque Park Foundation and Proyecto Unión Foundation.
  • Grupo Argos Foundation will also join the construction of the house with a group of volunteers.
  • Additionally, in partnership with Sistema Verde, the festival’s non-recyclable waste will be transformed into refuse-derived fuel (RDF) for use in Argos cement kilns, preventing its disposal in landfills and reducing the consumption of other fuels.

Grupo Argos, through Cementos Argos and Grupo Argos Foundation, is joining the Estéreo Picnic festival with a groundbreaking initiative that, through Páramo Impacta, will replace the counterweights traditionally used on the festival’s stages with a cement-and-sand-based solution. This will make it possible to avoid the use of nearly 140,000 liters of water during the event setup, equivalent to the amount of water contained in three family-sized swimming pools or more than 230,000 bottles.

For this intervention, approximately 85 tons of cement will be used, equivalent to 1,700 50-kilogram bags, along with 55 tons of sand. Together, this is also equivalent to the weight of 30 adult elephants. Once the event concludes, these materials will be reused to support the construction of the Amparo Quin Development Center, a home for children and young people with diverse high-complexity chronic conditions and their families, in partnership with the Jaime Duque Park Foundation and Proyecto Unión Foundation. The initiative will also include the participation of Grupo Argos Foundation, which will contribute volunteers to support the construction of this space.

This joint effort is complemented by a waste management strategy developed in partnership with Sistema Verde, through which the non-recyclable waste generated at Festival Estéreo Picnic Bogotá 2026 will be transformed into refuse-derived fuel for use in Argos cement kilns, preventing these materials from ending up in landfills while also reducing the consumption of other fuels in industrial processes.

“At Argos, we are joining this festival not only as a logistical and technical partner, but also as an organization that provides real solutions to address environmental and social challenges. This initiative turns materials, waste, and capabilities into tangible opportunities for people, and shows that when infrastructure, innovation, and social commitment come together, nothing is wasted and everything is transformed.”

“This participation in the Estéreo Picnic Festival reflects the way we understand sustainability: connecting our business capabilities with solutions that are useful to society. Best of all, it goes beyond resources and connects people, allowing our volunteers to take part in building a space that will support children and families going through difficult times.”
